Today is National Thank a Police Officer Day 2024!
As a law enforcement wife, I appreciate my husband & the law enforcement community everyday. There is nothing better than the sound of velcro in the morning! Our law enforcement officers need our love, support & encouragement now more than ever. There is no such thing as a “routine” call and, unfortunately, what they may experience in one shift is more than one person should handle in a lifetime.
Imagine the level of stress they experience as they respond lights & sirens to a priority call (not knowing what to expect when they get there) then handling a minor traffic accident and back to a priority call where they are performing life saving measures. It takes a special person to step up to their position and, although I worry about my LEO every time he goes on shift, I can’t imagine what our world we be like if we didn’t have the brave few accept their position to Serve & Protect.
So today, and always, Mommy Love Media says THANK YOU to our Police Officers nationwide. Thank you for selflessly serving your communities. For putting your duty before yourselves & your family. For protecting our innocent children, keeping our communities safe and bringing justice to families who have lost loved ones to crime. We see you. We appreciate you. We thank you.
To my husband, I thank God for how He created you. You are truly one of God’s peacemakers. You have a heart for not only helping people, but doing it with compassion. You show respect to everyone, including suspects. You hold them accountable, but use your life experience to help rather than look down upon someone caught in bad situation making the wrong decision. You’re an out-of-the box thinker that has literally saved neighborhoods from being terrorized. You are passionate about what you do and setting an example for all in your field. I love how newer officers look up to you and come to you for advice.
You don’t always give yourself enough credit, but I always will. I’m so proud of you! Today, we celebrate you my love. Thank you for your service and may God continue to shield & protect you, your co-workers and all police officers nationwide.
