First Came Love, then Came Marriage…
Yes, you are reading this correctly.. we are expecting! These past nine weeks have been so surreal and creating this announcement to share with you was the first time I have said or even written the word… “Mommy” – WOW!
I have always dreamed of becoming a Mommy someday and with some of my past health issues – never thought that would happen. But never let your faith waver, because God is so good! I silently prayed that if God wanted me to become a mother that He would help me overcome any obstacles standing in that path – and He did!
This has been the most fabulous, emotional, exciting nine weeks! Family keeps catching me cradling my tummy and I just can’t help it.. The thought that there is a tiny person growing in there is just still kinda surreal – I can’t get over it! At first I wanted to fast forward a few months, just to where I could feel baby kick.. but I am slowing back down and enjoying this entire road to Motherhood. Luckily, I haven’t had the inevitable “morning sickness” – just been extremely tired. There was one small scare earlier on, but I’m really trying to take it easy and it is healing itself. So prayers that it continues to heal itself and I’ll have a healthy pregnancy are always welcome!
My husband is already an incredible father so I know that our little bundle of joy is blessed and will be protected, cared for and loved unconditionally. He has been so supportive and amazing thru the first 9 weeks making sure I’m rested and eating properly, taking vitamins, drinking enough water.. that his love for me and baby just pour out!
B and S are super excited to be big sister & big brother and they are going to be amazing! I can’t wait to see them holding the baby, reading to the baby, teaching the baby gymnastics and soccer – it won’t matter if the baby is a girl or boy I’m sure they’ll become well versed in both – and just being the protective, loving older sibling that I know they are going to be.
Each week the kids ask, “How big is the baby this week?” So I printed the image below and we’ve been tracking baby’s progress. This is Week 9 and the baby is the size of an olive, which is a fun fact for our family because my husband and the kids LOVE olives!
We can’t wait to meet our little one and update you along the journey!
